Plugin Interface is deprecated, replacement?

photo

Hello,

The plugin Interface is marked as deprecated. We use it to have a Unigine GUI either embedded in the viewport (not using the plugin) or extern to the viewport  (using the plugin). This allows us to have the same GUI, embedded for users with a single screen or extern for users wit h multiple screens, so they can arrange windows as they suit.

As the plugin is deprecated, what should we use instead? (note that the c++ code samples still use it)

Thanks!

Hi Stephane,

It's a bit complicated with this plugin. Yes, it is marked as deprecated, but it still works, and we're using it for our internal projects. At the moment there no reason to be concerned about this.

When the time comes we'll offer another solution.

Thanks.

ah ok, thx! Sometimes it's a little difficult to find out what exactly it is or was that you find via the search function. I stumbled across this old article somehow: https://developer.unigine.com/en/docs/1.0/tools/editor/plugins/interface/

But when you look into the current docs, there is nothing about an interface plugin.

Also, while we are at it: What are these tools that you can see in the images in the link above? Looks like some in-game editor functionality?
