adrian.licuriceanu Posted February 4, 2020 Share Posted February 4, 2020 Hello, We've transitioned from 2.5 to 2.9 and one of the issue we have is the noise (like dithering) produce by SSAO (very very visible on large projected area screens, especially since we also need to use sharpen filter). This noise we don't see in 2.5. See ssao_noise for details. We are using DirectX11 and the parameters listed in ssao_params (but nothing seems to help). Do I have to restart the video after resetting these parameters? Anything else that may help? Kind Regards, Adrian L. Link to comment
silent Posted February 4, 2020 Share Posted February 4, 2020 Hi Adrian, It's a blue noise pattern that used internally to improve SSAO quality. You can fully disable the blue noise usage by unchecking the Noise option in SSAO settings and re-configuring the Radius and Threshold parameters.
