Water Planar reflction artefacts

I discovered 'cut out' artefacts, which occur on the Global Water Planar reflection.(the bright outline).

changing quality improves it a it, but it doesnt disappear.

Using a 4K buffer helps, but pushes down performance a lot. I would rather use the backbuffer size or even half.

Hello Werner,

You can try combining planar reflections with Water SSR, but some artifacts still may occur. If this wouldn't work I suggest keeping planar reflections only.

Water is a complicated objects and realistic reflections on its surface are not easily done. We'll investigate possible improvements after 2.10 release.

Your test scene will be really helpful for experimentation and render debug.

Hey Morbid.

yes, I have figured out, that the combination can disguise the artefacts a bit.

I made a simple scene with water and objects, and I get the same artefacts.

Especially, when you choose a lower resolution for the plane reflection plane.

I will try to get u a scene, cant tell ETA, but the testsscene is basically a reference.

I think it is a AA issue?
