davide445
Doing some tests about decal usage I noticed it's not possible to apply a mask such as example into material details. Meaning I need to prepare elsewhere the texture with mask and transparency. Will be nice just have the possibility to apply a mask on the decal, and even better the possibility to superimpose more than one mask. Link to comment
werner.poetzelberger
Do you mean: 'mask' = alpha?. So you want to have the possibility to use a separate image as an alpha channel? I thought of that as well, to be a good idea. As an option it would be great. A node based material editor could make such things more easy to implement I guess. Link to comment
davide445
I prepared the above splat in Affinity Photo from three elements: the sand base color texture, a "dirt" mask that randomize the visibility in some regions, a "splat" mask that cut the image only in the specific shape. If this is alpha masking so yes :-) Link to comment
