davide445
Testing alternative workflow vs actually using 3ds Max to assign multi sub object material, to be later imported as fbx in Unigine. My goal is switching also my 3d work in Linux, where 3ds Max its not available. Does anyone have experience in Houdini or Modo, and know an equivalent way to assign multiple materials slots (multi sub in 3ds Max) to the same object, in a way can be later recognized from Unigine in the imported fbx. davide445
Thanks. I asked for Modo / Houdini since we discovered Blender is unable to manage our complex fbx, probably due the fact is using a non standard fbx importer - being open source they basically rewrite their one instead of using the official Autodesk SDK. There are plug-ins using the Autodesk SDK but seems they are not available for 2.8. Link to comment
