demostenes
I was cleaning up project (2.7.3) and I moved some textures to different folder. I continued working and after several minutes editor crashed (reimport of cca 250 fbx - change of scale). After restart I had guid collision error for all textures I ve moved. Only solution was deleting guids.db and let it rebuild. It seems such change is not propageted into guids.db on HDD until project is saved, which makes move quite dangerous operation. morbid
Hello Demostenes, guids.db file is being updated on editor quit. If you crashed it wasn't saved and the file kept old paths to your textures. It shouldn't affect your content (nodes and materials that used these textures remained okay, right?). We're investigating ways to get rid of this file, without guids.db editor workflow will be easier in some sense. More likely it'll happen after 2.8. Thank you.
