trey.coursey
Has anyone found a fairly seamless way to export from SpeedTree and get those assets into Unigine? From my tests, the export from ST does not embed textures. The opacity textures come in RED so they are not in the correct format (I think they are RGB rather than Grayscale). Would then need to be embeded/included into PNG or other format that includes opacity rather than a seperate map. The materials then come in but are not linked up with the textures it knows about. It's a very painful process honestly. The two apps just don't play nicely together at the moment. I know I saw and commented on another thread about ST plugin. Maybe because of licensing or other there may not be a plugin to use native ST trees, but could there be a plugin that would seamlessly bring the exported FBX's into Unigine with everything in tact? Thanks for any thoughts. Link to comment
morbid
Hello Trey, right now we can't offer a seamless import from SpeedTree. However, you can configure tree models in Unigine for once and after re-use them just by copying folders with nodes and materials. Thank you!
