FBX import Unexpected file type.

Hey there,

I am somewhat new to Unigine and I am trying to get a animated character into the editor. As far as I know it should be possible to import an FBX of an animated character and it should work. However when I try to import it, it gives the the error: AutodeskImport::load(): can't initialize ''File path'' file Unexpected file type.

I am unsure how to fix this. Also if there are any further tips of getting a animated character into the engine, it is appreciated.

Hello, Frans!

Usually you just import fbx file and turn on animation. It should be simple.

I'd like to ask you a couple of question:

  • May I ask you to attach the model that causes this error?
  • Which SDK version are you using?

By the way, you can check documentation on fbx import.

Hi!

Yes it should be. I export from Maya LT and I get the error on multiple characters im trying to import. 
I attached the model to this post.

I am currently using SDK version 2.6.1.1
