Frans
Hey there, I am somewhat new to Unigine and I am trying to get a animated character into the editor. As far as I know it should be possible to import an FBX of an animated character and it should work. However when I try to import it, it gives the the error: AutodeskImport::load(): can't initialize ''File path'' file Unexpected file type. I am unsure how to fix this. Also if there are any further tips of getting a animated character into the engine, it is appreciated. Kind regards Frans Link to comment
morbid
Hello, Frans! Usually you just import fbx file and turn on animation. It should be simple. I'd like to ask you a couple of question: May I ask you to attach the model that causes this error? Which SDK version are you using? By the way, you can check documentation on fbx import. Frans
Update: Changing the path of the fbx to a different folder seemed to have fixed the problem for now. I have no idea why this works but it did. Link to comment
