Shadow artefacts

In some cases shadows are behaving wierd. Displaying non existent objecs (or shadows of objects with different light source). In this case there is light source, particles and standard materials.

Use project change set number 43, esqworld.world, jump on 4853,5143,414 and move time to night (time button in upper right corner) . You should be able to see similar behaviour as on the pictures (it depends on camera angle, sometimes it is OK, sometimes not, it displays different artefacts from different angle).

Hi Jirka,

This is not a bug, that's how shadows are basically working.

You need to adjust light sources parameters, such as Shadow resolution, Bias, Normal bias until the artifacts are gone. If you are using LightWorld, you also can tune up the shadow cascades to avoid that behavior.

I was trying to adjust these parametres, but it has no effect. Bias and normal has no effects on artefacts. Decreasing resolution makes some artefacts disappear, but it depends on angle of camera. From some angle it is there, from some not (see attached pictures, also shape of shadow is wierd). Shadow should be there from all camera angles. Also it sometimes it displays shadow, which should be not there, or it displays shadow from different light source (this usually happens when I have more lights with shadows in the scene).
