Priyank.Jain2
With older version of Unigine (2013_04_30) we were able to render terrrain with visible distance "inf" but after migrating to Unigine 2.3.1 looks like terrain is getting clipped (check the attached image) Am I missing any flag? How can I see the entire terrain from far? Link to comment
silent
Priyank, Please, check the haze distance in Rendering Settings -> Environment (as well as Camera's far clipping). Camera's far clipping should match haze to get the correct results. Thanks! Priyank.Jain2
Thanks but unfortunately that didn't helped. I tried setting "engine.render.setEnvironmentHazeMaxDistance" to 55000 (same as camera far clip) but that does not make any difference. Link to comment
silent
Hi Priyank, Could you please attach a screenshot of how it looks? Can you reproduce same behavior in Editor as well? Also, we need know camera's Near / Far / Haze distance and terrain size to be able to reproduce the same behavior. Right now I don't see any issues regarding the near / far clipping and terrain. Maybe you modified Distance scale or Objects distance parameter in Rendering settings somehow? Thanks! Priyank.Jain2
Attached the screen shot. I will check the distance parameter also and update you. Link to comment
silent
Can't you just increase far clipping distance? Maybe your terrain have some wrong scale and should be smaller? Thanks! Priyank.Jain2
Increasing far clip is not making any difference. Also this was the same terrain we were using in older version so I don't think there is any difference in scale. I also confirmed that we are not setting Distance scale and Objects distance. silent
Are you using terrain occluders? If so, could you please check if there is everything is corect when they turned off? If you are not using the occluders, could you please provide us a minimal test scene for reproduction with your terrain data? Thanks!
