Licensing issue: Can't connect to SDK Browser. Restart SDK Browser and try again since 2016-06-14

Dear Customers,

Due to to internal issue with root SSL certificate in SDK Browser it will be impossible to run Editor and debug engine binaries starting from June, 14, 2016. All SDK Browser and SDKs versions are affected. 

 

 

  • 2016-06-14 (05:00 UTC): Temporary workaround: change system date to the June, 13, 2016 and restart SDK Browser.
  • 2016-06-14 (10:00 UTC): SDK Browser 1.6.3 released. Please, install update for your SDK Browser.
  • 2016-06-15 (07:00 UTC): 2.2.1-2 fixed SDKs are uploaded to the Global CDN (Netherlands). Please, upgrade 2.2.1 SDK to 2.2.1-2 to permanently fix licensing errors. Starter editions, add-ons and demos are available via Chinese CDN as well. Sim / Pro versions are still uploading.
  • 2016-06-15 (07:15 UTC): 2.2-2 fixed SDKs are ready to upload to the Global CDN (Netherlands).
  • 2016-06-15 (07:43 UTC): 2.2.1-2 Sim SDKs uploaded to Chinese CDN.
  • 2016-06-15 (07:47 UTC): 2.2-2 Starter SDKs uploaded to Global CDN. Please, install 2.2-2 version first, than delete 2.2 SDK from SDK Browser. Upgrade your project from 2.2 to 2.2-2 to fix licensing issues.
  • 2016-06-15 (09:36 UTC): 2.2.1-2 Pro SDKs uploaded to Chinese CDN. All the 2.2.1-2 SDK versions are now available for download.
  • 2016-06-15 (09:38 UTC): 2.2-2 Pro | Sim SDKs uploaded to the Global CDN. 2.2-2 Starter uploaded to Chinese CDN.
  • 2016-06-16 (07:00 UTC): 2.2-2 SDKs are avaialble for downloads from both CDN.
  • 2016-06-16 (07:03 UTC): SDK Browser 1.6.4 update should be available soon for download. It will fix the Evaluation projects upgrade from 2.2.1 to 2.2.1-2.
  • 2016-06-16 (12:03 UTC): SDK Browser 1.6.4 available for download.
  • 2016-06-16 (14:44 UTC): All downloadable SDKs (2.0 / 2.1 / 2.1.1 / 2.2 / 2.2.1) were reuploaded to Global and Chinese CDN.

 

Please, accept our sincere apologies for that.

UPDATE #1: Unfortunately, updating only SDK Browser is not enough to fix this issue. We will provide new SDKs versions ASAP (2.2.1-2 SDK version first, 2.0.x and 2.1.x will be available later).

 

Customers with access to the engine sources can rebuild engine to temporary remove this error.

 

For customers with expired license for SDK updates we will provide additional information later.

 

UPDATE #2:

First fixed SDK versions (2.2.1-2) we plan to release today (June, 14). ETA: 18:00 UTC time.

Updated SDK builds are uploading now and will be available in several hours.

 

We are very sorry for the disruption of the service. The root cause identified and fixed.

Hi Salvador,

 

We are working hard to rebuild all the SDKs and I'm afraid 2.0 is the last one in the list. It will be available for download by the end of this week. If you are using 2.0 source version you can just rebuild engine from sources and continue using it without licensing issues.

All of the SDKs are rebuilt and available via SDK Browser, expect for standalone ones (which are downloaded as a full package via "Downloads" section).
