craig.biggs_
Hi, We're currently looking at doing a multi projector set up with a single image generator (Unigine) projecting over 3 different projectors. I realise AppProjection is intended for this purpose but we had a pre AppProjection set up that uses a 3840 x 800 single Unigine render window with the screen real estate divided into 3 WidgetSpriteViewports spanned across the projectors. I'm wondering is there any efficiencies to be gained by choosing AppProjection approach over 3 WidgetSpriteViewport's with regard to the frame rate? thanks Craig Link to comment
frustum
AppProjection can compensate simple distortions. And have GUI based configuration window for that. From performance point of view the difference is really small. Link to comment
craig.biggs_
I see. Is there are noticable difference visually with this distortion compensation? Is there much optimisation going on in Unigine to ensure that if the same artefact gets rendered in the blend region on two different viewports, the work done by the renderer is not duplicated? frustum
There are no optimizations to reduce the per-channel edge blending overdraw area. Usually this area is small. Link to comment
