Hello

Noticed a strange behavior in OpenGL:

Normal buttons:

Render: 6 ms

Interface: 3 ms

Node-Editor opened:

Render: 10 ms

Interface: 7 ms

Node + Material Editor:

Render: 10 ms

Interface: 10 ms

Keyline added:

Render: 10 ms

Interface: 12 ms

In this case the Interface has longer to render then the whole scene!

Hi silent

1. Radeon HD 6970

2. 12.11 Beta

3. Linux / Windows

Attached our transparent gui files.

You can just replace it (data/core/gui) and run it with the normal SDK.

Thank you for the GUI files, they helped a lot.

During the test process we noticed that there is no difference in perfomance between custom and default GUIs. But we also noticed ATI OpenGL driver (even 12.11 beta) is causing large perfomance drop. On our test stand with HD 6850 we get even worse results (Interface lag up to 90ms while DX11, DX9 API is only 0.7-1ms).

We also tested perfomance on nVidia GPU with the latest 310.90 drivers and Interface is always 0.7-1ms on all APIs.

I'm afraid we can't do nothing until ATI is released proper OpenGL driver. Sorry for any inconvinience caused.

Silent,

thanks a lot for the information.

I don't know but does Unigine have some contact points to ATI/AMD? It would be very sweet to just send them an information.
