how to create a joint on some given objects

I have read the manual, but seems the manual did not say anything about how to create a joint, for example how can I create a hinge joint.

 

I've tried to set the same parameter with the sample joint scenes, but nothing happend.

 

what does these buttons do? bind, fix0, fix1 fix01? object's local coordinate should be a matter, but how should I set the local coordinate for a hinge joint?

well, more detail, how to create this joints?

 

my step for creating the hinge joint:

 

1.create body(dummy) for the base object (black)

2.create a box shape for base object.

3.create body(rigid) for the middle slider object

4.create a cylinder shape for the slider object,

5.disable the shape, then reset the position to it's correct position.

6.add joint on slider object, then select the base object to joint.

7. the slider object disappear. always rendered as invisible wireframe object.

 

if I use a dummy body for the slider object, nothing will happen.
